Our Renault estafette R2137 Fourgon "Rush"

After looking for a reasonably good condition Renault Estafette without too much work to do to get it roadworthy, we ended up buying a film and internet star and named it 'Rush'!

 

Our estafette stars as Niki Lauda's 1976 Ferrari Formula 1 team's support vehicle in the recently released 2013 film 'RUSH' by Director Ron Howard.

 

The plan is to give it a complete running gear overhaul over the winter, with a view to starting a day camper conversion in the Spring of 2014 without any visible external changes.

 

Rush is featured on many motoring websites across the globe following his high profile disposal. Whilst he looks very much like a pristine model with his rather fetching Ferrari Rosso red paint job (and very good it is too), it is very much a film prop at the moment and requires a full service, attention to the brakes and underside with a little bit of remedial welding to get him fit for a UK MoT certificate.
